INHUMAN BUTCHERS. A RUSSIAN HORROR. By Cable— Press A*»ocinHnn.—Copyright. Received 15, 9.15 p.m. St. Petersburg, May 15. A sevenfold murder took place in a Russian village at Soroki. Four masked men broke into the villa of a wealthy man named Schastok and butchered with axes two lady guests and three maids.
The owner, Schastok, on , appearing, was killed, as also was his wife. They then plundered the house.
The murderers found a manservant hiding behind a partition, bound him hand and foot, and rendered him unconscious. The murderers decamped.
The villagers noticed the silent house and broke in the door, discovering the position.
