WAIT AI! A v. XIv.Y PLYMOUTH. A match was played at Waitara yesterday between the Waitara and New Plymouth clulis. The gnn«' had been arranged for the purpose of giving the Waitara men a practice and an insight into some of the finer points of tho game. As was to be expected, New Plymouth was totf superior all round, but the match wa» of much benefit toj both sides. The ground was rather rough, the long grass hindering fast play. There is some good material in the Waitara team,, and with practice they should make a good showing in the] competition., .
