SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The (Meteorological Office issues the following weather summary and forecast:—Cloudy and rainy weather has prevailed over the North Island, with * strong sfonWeasterly winds. The winds have been variable, and the weather fair in the South. The barometer has risen in <±he far north, but fallen elsewhere. Present indications are for cool showery aljd- changeable weather generally. Barometer pressure is very unsteady, rising temporarily in the North, and falling in the South, but a further fall will probably precede a steady rise due about Saturday evening. Moderate to strong and variable but chiefly southerly and westerly winds are anticipated in the near future.
