| NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. ( By Telegraph.—Press Association. . Wellington, Last Night. The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association held a special meeting to-night to consider proposals for alteration ia the method of governing the game a There was a fair attendance. Mr. C. T. Aschman, the Canterbury Association's special delegate, moved that the affairs of this association shall be managed by a council to consist of one delegate from each affiliated association. He said the present system was antiquated, for the greater part of the ; work was done between the quarterly, meetings, of which members heard nothing. A great mass of local work should be done by the local associations, leaving national or general affairs to a central body. Mr. B. Kennedy, Auckland, seconded. Professor Hunter said the great danger was that the proposal would introduce the club element. Mr. G. L. Peacock said he wai heartily sick of changing the constitution. Complete changes were made in 1008 on Canterbury's proposition. Mr. T. A. Hurley said the present management committee was composed of the best men at the head of affairfe, It would be better to give them power than to allow it to be placed in the hands of delegates at a distance. Mr. Gray said Otago had instructed • him to support the proposal.
