Do not Wait! Next Week may be TOO LATE TAfIANAKI PETROLEUM PREFERENCE SHARES. YOU lave heard Mr. Henry's remarks on the ex*«nt of the Taranaki oilfields. Sixty-one companies weee formed in ONE day at Alberta, in Canada, a few days ago. We have poslibly an equal extent of country. ... THE TARANAKI PETROLEUM COMPANY is probably THE KEY TO OUR FIELD, and probably also be the controlling company. You will WANT to invest in the future and WILL NOT THEN have the opportunity to get in ON BED-ROCK, in the PREMIER COMPANY, as you can do now. Opportunities do not come; you must make them. The terms are of the easiest —2s on application, Is on allotment, and nearly THREE YEARS to pay the balance, IF all ihould be called up. ' ' APPLY NOW. Dear Sir or Madam,— I beg to call your attention to the Preference Shareß of the above Company as a SOUND and PROFITABLE investment, and particularly as a means of ADVANCING your own interests and those of the province. The following are a few points, stated as concisely aa possible, tint I trust will r*>oeal to you:— The Company has PROVED that oil exists in PAYABLE quantities and of a quality UNSURPASSED in the world. The Company is financially SOUND, but additional capital will largely ADD to its prosperity. By taking up its Preference Shares, which carry a preferential dividend of 7% per cent, you make it STRONG financially. Being strong financially, you place it in the best position to make the BEST POSSIBLE TERMS with a purchaser, being INDEPENDENT. You enable it to FURTHER DEVEI/)P its oil deposits, and consequently to ask the utmost price possible when selling. You assist it to erect a REFINERY, and so obtain the BEST VALUE for its ,oil products. What does the erection of a Refinery mean to the District ana the Company? It will enable the Company to pay DIVIDENDS and make your investment, HIGHLY PROFITABLE one. It wiU wn the ESTABLISHING of various INDUSTRIES. INDUSTRIES mean the employment of a LARGE amount cl LABOR. The HOUSING of this labor will mean MORE EMPLOYMENT for all tradesmen, there being practically no empty houses in the town of New Plymouth. MORE LABOR will be required at the Stores to cope with the additional business. MORE CAPITAL will be CIRCULATED. NEW FIRMS will spring up and the old ones will employ ADDITIONAL hands. More FARM PRODUCE will be required of all sorts, which will Bean higher and MORE STABLE values for land. The oil deposits BEING AT A PORT occupy an almost UNIQUE position, the heavy cost w PIPING from inland deposits being SAVED. The posititn of i< s properties may also give it a MONOPOLY of REFINING. The refined products can also be handled at a MINIMUM of expense, and necessary supplies imported cheaply. FUEL for industries will be CHEAP. There will be a LARGE INCREASE of SHIPPING at the harbor. If you already HOLD SHARES, it is all the more REASON for you* TAKING MORE, as the placing of, all the Preference Shares will give those you already hold additional value, and the paid-up (bares that are now at a discount will reach par or be at a premium. Do you want your DISTRICT TO PROGRESS! Then help the most promising of all your industries by filling in the accompanying application form and forwarding it to me, with 2s per share applied for, or to the company. You can help according to your means. Ten shares involve only a small annual outlay, as the payment is spread over nearly THREE YEARS if all the money should be called up. If only this small number is taken up by all, the amount required would be largely OVER-SUBSCRIBED, and the preference aharcs would soon me at a PREMIUM. Under 7000 shares are now required, so send h your application fc.L • profr-fUy and the Refinery can be started. WALTER BEWLEY, SHAREBROEER, NEW PLYMOUTH. [Cut this out and send to me].
