CORRECTING THEIR AGES. By cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Sydney, May 5. The threat of severe punishment for having incorrectly filled census papers has caused many persons, both males and females, to write to the Department correcting their ages, GISBORNE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne, Saturday. The census shows the population of Gisborne borough to be 8104, and with the outlying suburbs 9520. At last census the population of Gisborne borough was 5660. The census shows that there are 330 more females than males in New Plymouth. Five years ago there were 227. Thus there lias been an increase of 109 females.
