THE KNYVETT CASE
REQUEST FOR POSTPONEMENT. The solicitors of the Knvvett Defence Committee, states the Auckland Herald, have telegraphed to Major-General Godley, who is now at Dargnville, and again protested against the proposal to hear the case in Wellington. In the event of not being able to alter the venue, Major-General Godley wag asked to make provision for the trial being postponed for a month, as counsel for ex-Cantain Knyvett could not leave Auckland for Wellington on May 9, the date proposed for the re-trial of the case.
