A DEFECTIVE BATTLESHIP
COLLAPSES IN THE DOCK. By Cable —Press Assoeiatien—Copyright. . Received 5, 10.45 p.m. London, May 5. The battleship Invincible was docked at Portsmouth on Tuesday for a com-' plete overhaul. When her full weight rested on the wooden blocks under her keel, the frames strengthening the double bottom suddenly buckled and collapsed. The ship's weight bent the frame like a bow, bulging them on either side. When floated and examined, serious injuries were disclosed.
