CARDS
A committee meeting of the New Plymouth Cards Association was held in the Fire Brigade station last night, when there were present:—Messrs Lee (m the chair). King, Inch, Harvey, Sole, Groombridge, Pearce, Mason and Webster. A notice of motion brought forward by tbe Bell Block Club to vary the number of players from sixteen players to twenty players in each team, was carried. It was decided that the Bell Block Club .should lie allowed to travel all their matches in the 'first round.
Fixtures were then drawn up as follows, for the first round, the team mentioned first to be the home team. The matches must be played within the week for which they are fixed: May B—East End v. Druids; Avenue Road v. Waireka; Fire Brigade v. Egmont; Fitzroy v. Bell Block; Hibernian a bye.
May 13—Hmernian v. Waireka; Avenue Road v. Druids; Egmont v. Fitzroy; East End v. Fire Brigade; Bell Block a bve.
May 22—Hibernian v. Bell Block; Fire Brigade v. Druids; Avenue Road v. Fitzroy; East End v. Egmont; Waireka a bve.
May 20—Waireka v. Egmont; Druids v. Fitzroy: Hibernian v. Avenue Road; Fire Brigade v. Bell Block; East End a bve.
June 3—East End v. Bell Block; Waireka v. Druids; Fitzroy v. Hibernian; Avenue Road v. Fire Brigade; Egmont x bve.
June 12—Egmont v. Hibernian; Waireka v. Fire Brigade; Fitzroy v. East End: Druids v. Bell Block; Avenue Road a bve.
June 10—Avenue Road v. Egmont; East End v. Hibernian; Fire Brigade v. Fitzroy: Waireka v. Bell Block; Druids a bye.
•Juno 20—Egmont v. Bell Block; Fitzroy v. Wairela; Hibernian v. Druids: Avenue v. East End; Five Brigade a bve. July 3—Waireka v. East End; Druids v. Egmont; Fire Brigade v. Hibernian; Avenue Road v. Bell Block; Fitzroy a bve.
East End will be represented by the following in a friendly match with Fitzroy to-night:—Cook, Hampton, Jackson, Jenkinson, Lowe. Morey, Lee, Gay ton' Kihby. McKoy, Roberts. Colson, Scrivener. Abbott, llobottom and Waugh.
