By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Avondale J.C. races were continued to-day, with the following results:— Nursery Handicap, six furlongs.— Goldsize 1, Master Dix 2, Kaween 3. Also started: Worcester, Cloudy Dawn, Rambler. Won by a length. Flying Handicap.—Mighty Atom 1, Harcnoa 2, Lady French 3. Also started: Kanewara, Lucille, Fremantle, Paira-J waatu. Won by two lengths. Maiden Handicap Hurdles.— Explosion 1, Denbies 2, Dhudien 3. Also started: Celtic, Excalibur, Dinkum. Won by twenty lengths. Autumn Handicap.— Electrakoff 1, Coromandel 2, Domino 3. Also started: Sedition, Master Jack, Peacemaker, Flying Soult, Regain. Won by a length.
Dominion Handicap.—Poictiers 1, Lady Betty 2, Blue Garment 3. Scratched: Kanewara. Won by a long neck. Handicap Steeplechase, three miles.— Mahara 1, Cloudy Morn 2, Le Beau 3. Scratched: Whatashot and Commander. First Barrel fell. Won by two lengths. Mount Roskill Handicap.—Blue Mount 1, Jolie Fille 2, Ardfert 3. Scratched: Caruso, Tipua, Seatonella. Won by a neck.

The contracts have been let by the Stratford Racing Club for the new stewards' stand and for extending the present grandstand, which will practically be doubled in capacity. The successful tenderers are Messrs Grayling and Cliff, of New Plymouth, who secured both jobs.
