Hall-Jones said he did not helieve some of the statements about mis-handling meat, but if the means of distribution were slightly improved it would be a great, advantage to both shippers and sellers. He anticipated that within three years public opinion would force Continental Governments to open the door to frozen meat. Sir George Reid insisted upon the importance of the refrigerated trade to the teeming millions of Britain.
