VISIT TO TARANAKI. The Hon. R. McKenssie, Minister of Public Works, Accompanied by Mrs. McKenzie and his private secretary (Mr. McNamara), arrived in New Plymouth )>y the mail train last night. The party was met at the station by his Worship the Mayor, Messrs W. T. Jennings (M.P. fixr Taumarunui), (!. T. Murray (District Koads Engineer), (\ Carter (chairman of the Taranaki Petroleum Company), and others. Mr. Tisch extended * hearty welcome to the Minister on the occasion of his first Ministerial visit to New Plymouth. At 10 o'clock to-day a visit will he. paid to the oilfields at Motnrea, and on return deputations will be received at the White Hart Hotel, where the Mimntcr is staying while in New Plymouth. THE TARANAKI ITINERARY. The following itinerary has been lirepared for the Minister's tour, "weather and other circumstances permitting": Thursday New Plymouth, ami on to Wnitara in the afternoon. Friday—Visits Urenui, Uruti, and probably Tongaporutu, returning the same evening to Inglewood. Saturday—Leave Inglewood for Opunake. Sunday—Manaia. Monday—Hawcra, Eltham and Strafr ford. Tuesday—Whangamomona. Wednesday—Mangaroa. Friday—Ohakune and Rangataua. Saturday—Raetihi and Horopito. Sunday—Ohakune. Monday—Wellington.
