STANDING COMMITTEES. At a special meeting of the Borough Council held yesterday, standing committee's were elected as folows:— Works (including drainage and bylaws)— The whole Council, with the Mayor as chairman. { Executive—The Mayor (chairman), Crs. Browne, Mannix, Buttimore and Clarke. Greater New Plymouth and Tramways —The whole Council, with the Mayor as chairman. Estimates—The whole Council, with the Mayor as chairman. Finance—His Worship the Mayor (chairman!, Crs. G. W. Browne, J. Clarke, J. C. Morcy and H. Stockcr. Abattoirs—The Mayor (chairman), Crs. Buttimore, Buxton, Hartnell and Morey. Reserves and Cemetery—Crs. Buttimore (chairman), Ambury, Buxton, Hartnell and Browne. | Electric Light—The whole Council,! with a sub-committee to deal with mat-' ters of urgency, consisting of Crs. Browne (chairman), Stocker, Ambury, Mannix and Hartnell. Baths—Crs. Stocker (chairman), Mannix, Buxton and Hartnell. ~ Western Pane Representatives—Crs. Browne (chairman), Mannix and Morey. Bands—Crs. Clarke (chairman), Buttimore and Buxton. Representatives on Pukekura Park Board—The Mayor, Crs. Hartnell and Ambury. ■ Representatives on Library Committed —Crs. Buxton and Mannix, Messrs F. E. Wilson and P. White. Representatives on Fire Board—Crs. Clarke, Buxton and Stocker.
