PETROLEUM NEWS
THE TARANAKI COMPANY. No. 3 bore is flowing as strongly as ever continuously between the casings, and good progress is being made with the drilling. Yesterday another fifteen feet was drilled. The gas is still very powerful.
At No. 2 there is nothing further to report, the oil still flowing as strongly as ever.
At No. 5 drilling is proceeding at a very satisfactory rate in sticky papa. A further shipment of oil was forwarded to Auckland yesterday. The chairman of directors, noting that the Hon. R. Mackenzie was to visit the province, telegraphed an invitation yesterday to him to visit the company's works whilst in the district.
Buy preference snares at once. They are a perfectly safe and very promising investment, and one that may be recommended with confidence. Send to Walter Bewley, New Plymouth.—Adyt.
