A SHOOTING AFFAIR

DISTURBED INCENDIARY USES A REVOLVER.

fly Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Adelaide, May 1.

A sensational shooting affair occurred at Renmark last night. A watchman named .Odgers surprised a man attempting to set fire to the Fruit Packing Union's shed.

The man fired a revolver, a bullet from which struck Odgers on the breast and pierced his coat, but a stifT-baeked pocket-book prevented it from inflicting a wound. Odgers returned the fire and a desperate struggle followed. The man again fired at Odgers and wounded his log. He also received some nasty injuries from the weapon used by the desperado, who eventually got away.
