POLITICS AT PAHIATUA
NEED FOR THE REFORM PARTY. By Telegraph.—Press Asatciatira. Pahiatua, Last Night. A meeting of the supporters of the Reform Party was held in Pahiaitua to-day to discuss the campaign for the Pahiatua seat. It was resolved to ask Mr. R. R. Martin, the Opposition organiser, to visit the electorate and spend a week organsing. It was reported that on account of pressure of business, Mr. J. 0. Copper, who contested the seat at last election in the interests of the Reform Party, would be unable to stand, but in view of the fact that no official invitation had yet been extended to Mr. Cooper to contest the scat, it was resolved that ft sub-committee should wait on him and ask him to reconsider his decision.
