REINFORCEMENTS ARRIVE AT FEZ. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 30, 5.5 p.m. Tangier, April 29. Fifteen hundred Tazza horsemen reached Fez on Saturday, helping the Sultan. A later report states that Major I3remond's force arrived close to Fez without loss. The French column from Casablanca is making forced marches within fifty miles of Fez.
THE GARRISON SUFFICIENT. Received 30, 5.5 p.m. Paris, April 29. Advice has been received that while Colonel Mangcn had an insufficient force to attempt a sortie, he would be able to hold Fez for some time. A REPORTED BATTLE. Received 30, 5.5 p.m. Madrid, April 29. The Herald has received a telegram from Memours, in Algeria, stating that the tribes attacked the French column when advancing on Tazza. Desperate fighting ensued, fifteen of the French being killed and twenty wounded. FEZ RELIEVED BY FRENCH COLUMN A GALLANT ACHIEVEMENT. Received 1, 12.30 a.m. Tangier, April 30. Major Bremond's column entered Fez on the 26th, having gallantly fought its way through the rebels.
