HIGH SCHOOL BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING. Tlie monthly meeting of the High School Board of Governors was held on Wednesday. Present: Messrs. MacDiarmid (chairman), Smith, Dockrill, Glasgow and Dr. Fookes. Mr. J. E. Wilson sent an apology for unavoidable absence. It was resolved to place a furthei sum on fixed deposit from, the funds remfflj received from the School Commissioner!. The usual grant of £5 to the school sports committee was authorised. A discussion took place as to the caretaker's duties. It was decided that the chairman should confer with the principal on the matter. It was resolved that certain fees and rents in arrear should be placed in the hands of the Board's solicitor for collection. The Board went into the question of insurances on the school buildings and contents, and resolved that increases should be made in certain directions where the property was insufficiently insured.
Accounts amounting to £17!) 15s 4d were passed for payment.
