AUSTRALIAN J.C. MEETING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 22, 7.50 p.m. Sydney, April 22. The weather was line and the attendance large. Results:— Rous Handicap—Aurofodina 1, Hurtfell 2, Nangar 3. Fifteen started. True Spec and Haze carried the field to the entrance of the straight, where Aurofodina came away and won by a length. Time, 2min 22%sce. Place Handicap—Cadonia 1, Adgio 2, Mil 3. There were fifteen starters. Posaune made the running to the half mile, followed by Loyal Blue, Cadonia, Bridge. Loyal Blue and Posaune were first "into the straight from Cadonia and Mil. Once fairly on the way home, Cadonia shot to the front, and landed a winner by a length and a-quarter, a neck between second and third. Second Steeple—Confederate 1, Nitro 2, Boisdale 3. Five started, 'Confederate was in front all the way. An exciting finish; W>» by a length. Time ; 7mm| O'/jsec. ; '''' ' ' " ''to .*" . Plate—Trafalgar 1, Byplay 2, The L'.*\ 3. Also started: BiddViilllke. The lastnamed acted as pilot to Trafalgar, By-! I play" and The Lad in that order "to I the hsfV-irnie, where he had twenty I lengtW l'<?ad. The field gradually closed up. Trafalgar went to the front at the six furlongs. A little later By-play moved into second place'. Trafalgar showed the way into tile straight to Byplay, and the leader then came away and won by three-quarters of a length, Byplay beating The Lad by thirty lengths. Time, 1, Brain 22^see. Second Nursery Handicap—St. Medoc 1, Borrosov 2, Respect 3. Twenty-four started. St. Medoc went to the front when half the distance had been covered, and won comfortably by a length, Borrosov being beaten by a neck. Final Handicap—Reg 1, Broadsword 2. Chaste 3. There were eighteen startert! Broadsword was prominent into the straight, hut Reg shot out below the Leger and won a great race by half a length. Chaste being a close third. Negative and First View. Farewell Handicap—Montague 1, Expansion 2, Ito 3. Also started: Surmount, Mota and Supplement. The totalisator receipts were £4054 making a total of £3334 for the meeting.
