NGAMOTU CLUB. The ladies played two matches yesterday in beautiful weather, and also driving, approaching, and putting competitions. In the morning a medal handicap of 18 holes was played. Mrs. Johns and Mrs. Arnold-Jones tied for first place. The best scores were: — I Mrs. Johns 103 25 78 Mrs. Arnold Jones 107 29 7b Miss Stephenson 89 (i 83 Miss Standish 107 14 03 Mrs. Bell (Hawera) 114 21 93 Mrs. Gunson 123 29 94 In the afternoon a bogey handicap of nine holes was played. The best scores were:— Mrs. Gunson (11), 1 up. Miss Stephenson (2), all square. Miss Read (9), 1 down. Mrs. Bell, Hawera (8), 2 down. Miss Blundell (15), 3 down. Miss Kirkby (15), 3 down. Driving competition.—Miss Standish, 155 yards, 1; Miss Kirkby, 131 yards, 2. In the approaching competition, Miss I McKellar was first, and Miss Kirkby and Miss Blundell tied for Becond place. The putting was won by Miss Standish, with the score of 10 for nine holes.
