AUSTRALIAN RACING. A.J.C. AUTUMN MEETING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, April 15. The weather was glorious and the at tendance very large for the A.J.C. autumn meeting, which commenced to-day, Results:— First Hurdle Race, of 300 sovs., about two miles—Boyong 1, Ennismar 2, Ninirod 3. Eleven started. Pakau and Woolloomooloo were scratched. Farrel made the running to the last obstacle, where he fell. Boyong won by ten lengths. Time, 3min 4%sec. Autumn Stakes, of 1000 sovs. (weigh t-for-age), one mile and a half—Comedy King (8.7) 1, Trafalgar (0,3) 2, Lady Medallist (8.12) 3. Seven started. A good start was effected. Lady Medallist quickly established a lead, being three lengths ahead of Comedy King. The field were well up. There was little change in the order, excepting that Lady Medallist widened the gap till approaching the turn, where the field commenced to close up. Lady Medallist led into the straight, but Comedy King overhauled her below the Leger. Trafalgar joined issue and a good race home eventuated. Won by three-quarters of a length, Lady Medallist four lengths away. Time, 2min 33% sec. A.J.C. Sires' Produce Stakes, of 1000 sovs, seven furlongs.—Messrs P. and W. Mitchell's b c Gillamatong 1, Borrosov 2, Respect 3. Twelve started. Borrosov acted as pilot well into the straight. Gillamatong, which was on the outside, shot to the front at the half-distance, and won by a length and a half. Time, linin 27V!>sec. Doncaster Handicap, sweepstake of 20 sovs each, with 1500 sovs. added; one mile. —Broadsword, 8.8 (Connell), 1; Sunlike, 7.3 (Dillon), 2; Flavinius (Smith), 3. All the acceptors started. There was a long delay at the post. From a good start Grist and Torula were the first to show out. After settling iritor, .their place, Grist and Broadsword took charge from Miss Corelli, Sunlike and Lager. The others were in a heap at the six furlongs post. Broadsword and Grist still showed the way. Sir Lawrence was .next. Lager then dashed out and led for the next half mile by two, lengths clear.-from Gold Thread, Broadsword, and ißright Laddie. Rounding the bend, Lager djadnfi length clear \to 'thetgood. from Golden Thread, Broadsword, Royal Merv, Mifis Corelli and Bright Laddie. Lager was first into the straight. Below the ■distance, Gold Thread and Bright Laddie .shdwed l most prominently from Broadsword, .Miss 1 Corelli- and- Flavinius. From a good start Callboy, Apple Pie, and Eric were first to show out. At the straight Callboy was leading Mindful, Miss'Corelli, and Apple Pie, with The Lad last. Before reaching the mile post' Adgio took charge from Ilerova, followed by Apple Pic, Flavinius, Eric, Callboy, and Blue Gem. Adgio led past the. six fitrjong post, and Apple Pie was nearest, then Flavinius, Miss Corelli, and Herova. Reaching the four furlongs, Moorilla and Blue Gem were together in the lead, followed by Flavinius, Adgio, Mindful, Patronatus, and Crown Derby. Going into the straight Moorilla landed clear of .Eric, who was well ahead of Flavinius, Blue Gem, and Mindful, who was going strong. Moorilla won by three lengths, with live between second and third, then Mil, Mindful, Crown Derby, Blue Gem and Patronatus, with Callboy last. Time, 3min 30'/ 2 sec. First Steeplechase, of 300 sovs; about 2'/, miles. —No Trouble 0.12 1, Boisdale 11.4 2, Confederate 11.7 3. Four starters. Won by three lengths. Time, smin 40sec. First Nursery Handicap, of 500 so. J; one mile.—Tacamar 7.2 1, Psyttyx 7.2 2, Cisco 5.7 3. Nineteen starters. Tlui winner, who was prominent throughout, came away at the distance, and won easily by seven lengths. Time, lmin 4CV3SCC. Broadsword's time in the Doncaster Handicap was a record, heating the previous best of Storey and Hymen by a quarter of a second. PATEA RACES. There was fine weather and a larsa attendance at the Patea races yesterday. The fields were eood, and the racing interesting. Speculation was very brisk: in fact a considerable sum was locked out because the machines could not take it fast enoueh. Results: — Handicap Hurdles, l'/> miles. —Mr. IT. L.
