WELLINGTON EXHIBITION

THE INSURANCE RATES. Bj Telegraph.—Prose Association. Wellington, Wednesday. Strong complaint was made at the meeting of the Industrial Association last night concerning what the president described as the exorbitant rates insurance companies had decided f o impose for risks in connection with the industrial exhibition.- ■ The president said the rates amounted to 40s per cent., and he advised all exhibitors to take the risk and not to injure. The show building in which the exhibition would be held was practically fireproof. ' * The managers of the companies hold that the rates are not excessive, and quote the figure fixed at various oiler exhibitions in support of their contention. The rate at Chriatchurch, for instance, was 7'ss per cent. The Industrial Association decided to make r written protest against the rate.
