BANK SHARES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, April 11. Quotations. —Bank of Australasia, £llO and £117; Bank of New South Wales, £43 10s and £44 10s; Union Bank, £(>2 and £08; Bank of New Zealand, £102; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile, £O7. PATRY PRODUCE REPORT, Slessrs E. Griffiths and Co. are in i'C j 1 ceipt of the following market report from their London principals, Slessrs Slills and Sparrow, dated Starch 3, 1911; The weather (luring the past week has been quite mild and spring-like, and although it has been appreciated by people generally, it is really a little unseasonable, and not beneficial to the butter trade. Danish: The quotation has been reduced three kroners, but even at this reduction the market has not cleared. ■Siberian: There are a few fresh-made butters arriving, and these have been sold at a fairly good price, the fodd(ir make being the best from Siberia. Australia: Arrivals this week consist of about 30,000 boxes per s.s. China, 10,000 per s.s. Poona, 10,000 per s.s. .Norseman, and 21,000 per s.s. S-liltiades. The two latter , vessels have only just come to hand, so that their butters will not be available until next week. There has been a good demand for the, best qualities, both salted and unsalted, and tnese are well cleared, and the market remains firm. We regret we cannot report well of secondary sorts, which have been neglected, and unfortunately the production of these seems to have increased considerably- just lately. Anything faulty is very difficult to sell, and the market is easier on these grades. New Zealand: We are pleased to report that the quality of the Rotorua's butter, with the exception of one or two brands, is very satisfactory, and this should do gooil all round. So far the butter is landing very slowly, a considerable quantity of it having been overstowed. There is a good demand and i the market is firm on finest goods. CHEESE. Canadian: Really fine quality seems rather scarce, and makes the full price fairly easily. New Zealand: There lias been a much I better demand this week, and although prices at the moment do not show much advance, we should not be surprised to see higher values in the future, especially 011 white cheese, which seems rather scarcer. The quantity of'colored having increased, we think prices"-will remaii about the same. . I FROZEN PORK. The market for frozen pork is firmer. DAIRY PRODUCE EXPORTS. Slessrs J. B, SlaeEwan and Co. issue the following dairy produce circular: — Exports to London from New Zealand:—Shipped per Karamea, Slareh 25, 1011, 407 tons cheese; per Surrey, March 2ft, 4 tons butter 324 tons cheese; per Ruahine, April 6, 2G7 tons butter, 930 tons cheese; totals, 271 tons butter, 1461 tons cheese. Latest cable advices from London advise that-there is a steady demand for best brands ol salted butter at 107s to 108s, the market being steady.
