Before the Royal Geographical Society, Dr. Mawson unfolded the geological aspects of his Antarctic scheme. He emphasised the eagerness of Australia and New Zealand for knowledge of the frozen continent, and their active support and \ participation. CAPTAIN AMUNDSEN'S PLANS. Christiana, April 10. Captain Amundsen, in a letter to his committee, states that, after landing the expedition in the Antarctic, the Fram will make Atlantic oceanographic observations. Captain Amundsen, on his return, will call at New Zealand, proceedI ing thence to vSan Francisco.
