FLOODS IN QUEENSLAND
DISTINCTLY SHORT OF FOOD. By Cable —Presa Association —Copyright Brisbane, April 10. All the flooded centres are short of food, and the problem is serious. Twelve hundred people in Chillagoe district have a fortnight's supplies, but it is not thought that railway communication can be restored under two months. The Government is urgently pushing on the work and instructing the engineers to disregard expense.
