Seven hundred employees at the Schichau naval yard, Dantzig, where the battleship fereatzaegir is building, have struck for an increase of wages. POTATO CROPS RUINED. Received 10, 10.15 p.m. London, April 10. Blizzards have ruined the early Jersey potato crops, the loss being estimated at £IOO,OOO. A TOKIO CONFLAGRATION. Tokio, April 9. By a fire in the Yoshiwara quarter 5000 houses were destroyed, and 0000 women are homeless. A GENERAL MURDERED. Received 11, 12.25 a.m. Hong Kong, April 10. It is reported that insurgents in the Canton district murdered a Tartar general.
