, - SUMMARY AED FORECAST. ' . By'Teleeraph.— Beeas Association, j Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— Anti-cyclonic conditions have prevailed- in the north, "but the barometer has fallen steadily in sothern districts daring the past twenty-four hours. ..Southerly winds prevailed on Saturday and Sunday morning, but -freshening northerlies in the south. To-day the weather has been .generally fine hut unsettled on the West Coast and southern districts of the South Island. Present indications' are for. strong northerly winds, veering to westerly in the north, and a heavy' westerly gale veering to southerly in and south of Cook Strait. Pain and stormy weather are probable generally. The barometer will , probably fall! everywhere, but rise smartly in the south after about eighteen hours.
