A PUBLICAN'S DUTY
TO PROVIDE FOOD. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Christchureh, Last Night. For having failed to supply meals to a man who asked that twelve men should be supplied with food, Robert Berti, licensee of the Star Hotel, Addington, was fined thirty shillings and costs, the magistrate holding that when a traveller asked for meals, not at ordinary meal times, he should be provided with a cold snack, and should not be turned away.
