CRUSHED IN THE ICE
A PERILOUS EXPERIENCE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 9, 5 p.m. Ottawa, April 8. The sealing steamer Harlow was caught in an ice field in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and was crushed. A hundred and thirty sailors escaped across the icefield to St. Paul Island, and the Government steamer has been despatched to succor them.
