INCREASED PAY WANTED. • London, April 7. The Clyde engineers have asked for a halfpenny an hour increase, and ha\;e refused the employers' offer of a farthing from July next. They have requested a conference with the Employers' Federation to discuss the matter. BRITISH TRADE. London, April 7. The imports for March hare increased £434,070, exports £0,472,354, and re-exports £730,678, as compared with March last year. MURDERED BY NATIVES. London, April 7. Official information states that savage tribesmen at Saduja, Assam, have murdered Mr. Noel Williamson, the political officer, and his party.
