MAIL MATTER MISSING

VALUTA AT £30,000. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, April 8. It is reported that a bag of registered letters, the contents of which are valued at over £30,000, is missing at the General 'Post Office. It was dispatched from Melbourne on Wednesday, and should have arrived at midnight on Thursday, but had not been received up to last night. A strict search is proceeding. THE BAG RECOVERED. Received 9, 5 p.m. Sydney, April 9. The missing mail bag has been discovered in Brisbane, where it was forwarded by mistake.
