SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary—and forecast: Misty weather has prevailed, with heavy rain in. parts northward of Kawhia and Gisborne, and drizzling rain elsewhere. Easterly and northerly winds have, moderated in the north today, and sontfr-easterly breezes, predominated elsewhere. Present indications aire that a, low pressure area of decreasing intensity lying to the westward of the North Island, will probably merge with another low pressure area advancing bis'the South Island. The "barometer has a falling tendency everywhere, arid is likely to become low in the south after about thirty-six hours. Mild and humid conditions are probable generally, and showery-in parts, easter-' ly and northerly winds prevailing, and gradually increasing in force.
