NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. 'l'ho rink tournament is to be continued on the Now Plymouth green on Thursday next. Four matches were played last Thursday and there are two still to play. The draws are as follows: Fifth Round. —Goldwater plays Burgess, Bishop plays A. K. Smart. Rundle plays ill. Smart, Bary a bye. Sixth Round.—Rundle plays A. K. Smart. Goldwater plays 11. Smart, Bishop plays Bary, Burgess a bye. Seventh Round. —Rundle plays Goldwater, Bishop plays H. Smart, Bary plays Burgess, A. K. Smart a bye. The singles championship of the New Plymouth Club was decided on Friday afternoon, C. Rundle defeating H. Smart. The latter held the advantage almost to the last, the scores reading, Smart 14, Rundle S.. 'Each player then put on four —Smart 18, Rundle 12. Soon after this Smart was lying the three required to gain the championship, but Rundle put in a good one, and trailed the "jack" to the dead line. After that Rundle rocked the balls in and got the 21, Smart remaining at 18. "This makes the second time that C. Rundle has annexed the* championship, he attaining the honor in 1905-G. The names of the Rundles figure prominently on the honor's board of tjie New Plymouth Club. Sam won in 1893-4, 1902:3 and .1908-9; "William in 1901-2 and 1907-8, and Charles in 1905-G and 1910-11 —truly a unique record, and one that 6tanips * the brothers as bowlers of a meritorious and consistent order. : The singles championship of the ITawera Club was won on -Wednesday by Parringfcon, who defeated Parkinson in the final by 20 to 15.
