El Paso reports that two days' stubborn fighting took place in the iieighborhood of San Rafael Sonora. The rebels outnumbered the Federal troops, but, owing to the lack of ammunition* were compelled to retreat. It is reported that a hundred were killed on both sides. The Federal wounded have arrived at Hermosillo. DIAZ CAPITULATES. GRANTS THE DEMANDS OF THE REBELS. Received 3, 1 a.m. Mexico City, Aprjl 2. President Diaz, in a message to Congress, outlined most of the reforms the rebels sought. • President Diaz agrees that there shall ,be no re-election of President. He favors electoral law reform, the removal of obnoxious provincial officials, and the improvement of the personnel of the judiciary division.
