The former I is leaving for Auckland, and the latter! for England. Mills, black and white striped silk;] Mrs. Fraser, handsome hand-painted net over black glace foundation; Mrs. H. soft white silk. Pianola- Recital. —By the invitation of the British" and Continental Piano Co., a large number of people gathered t.ogether in St. Mary's Hall to hear a pianola recital, Mr. R. N. Renaud manipulating the instrument. Amongst those present were: Mrs. Glasgow, Miss Glasgow,' Misses Evans (3), Misses Skinner (3), Mrs, Robinson, Miss Robinson, Mrs. F. PERSONAL ITEMS. Oh Saturday evening Mrs. Chaney is giving a bridge party as a farewell to Mrs. A. D. :Gray, who is leaving shortly for her future home in Auckland. Miss Rawson left last Wednesday for Auckland, en route for England. j Giant (New Plymouth) and Mrs. Wingfi'dM, (tnglewood) leave on Thursday for'a trip to England. j Mrs. Esdall, with her two children, who are the guests of Mrs. Young ■ (the former's mother), Liardet street,' return on Monday to their home at Takapuna, Auckh'H- i Mr. and.Mrs. Sydney Fitzherbert, of Feilding, are the guests of Mrs. Fitz-' hcrbert, New Plymouth.
