A sensation was caused at Skodra through the town criers, in .mistake, proclaiming a Holy War against the Albanian Christians. Shops are being closed, and the position is inflammable. It is evident .that the Turkish and Montenegrin policies regarding Albania are in open conflict. * Montenegro contends for an autonomous Albania under [the suzerainty of Montenegro as the only rational policy. Shereket Pasha, the Turkish Minister of War, in a speech, declared that_an independent Albania could not exist without Turkey, whilst the Turks also realised that they could not remain in Europe without 1 the support of the Albanians. The murderer of Captain Schlichting, the German instructor. to the Turkish army, has been sentenced to death,, and will be executed forthwith.

TURKEY RELYING ON ASIATICS. Received 31, 11.50 p.m, Constantinople, March 31. Turkey largely relies on reinforcements consisting of Asiatic troops, to maintain order in Macedonia and Albania.
