OAKURA SPORTS. INTERESTING RACING. There was a good attendance at the Oakura sports yesterday. The field* were good and the rating interesting. Some of the finishes were very close, dead-heats not being uncommon. The presence of the Taruuaki Garrison Baud enlivened the proceedings, their music being much enjoyed. All the officials worked well, but none is deserving of more praise than the energetic secretary, Mr. F. W. McGregor, who had an intimate grip of every detail. Mr. B. Jury was timekeeper.
