INCENDIARISM AT ELTHAM
<ii MAGISTERIAL ENQUIRY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Eltham, Last Night. An enquiry was held to-day before Mr. Keurick, S.M., touching the fire that occurred at 2 a.m. on February 12 in a building owned by John Routley, of Wellington, which was so damaged that it will have to be rebuilt. The. evidence showed that the lire started in a shop occupied by P. L. Sanko, who had an insurance of £2OO in the New Zealand Company on his .stationery and fancy goods stock. A bundle of kindling wood was di-'covcred in the debris under where tlie counter had been. A verdict was returned that "the shop was wilfully set on fire by some person unknown."
