GREAT FIRE AT ALBANY

ENORMOUS LOSS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York, March 29. The Capitol at Albany, New York State, has been partly destroyed by iiro. The damage is estimated at £2,000,000. Priceless documents have been lost. The night-watchman is missing. VALUABLE LIBRARY DESTROYED. Received 31, 12.40 a.m. New York, March 30. It is believed that the night-watchman perished in the fire at the legislative buildings at Albany. The Senate Assembly Chambers are not seriously damaged. The library will cost a million sterling to restore. The burned records include those of the Governors of New Amsterdam from I<l3o to IC7O, letters from Sir William Johnson, Washington and Lincoln. The relics were saved.
