RIFLE SHOOTING

RAHOTU RIFLE CLUB. Another shoot for the trophy took place at Rahotu on Saturday. The shooting was hardly as good as usual. One bright feature, however, was a possible at 000 yards by Rifleman J. Guy, who won the competition. Scores: — 500 yds. SOOyds.Hp. Tl.

AGGREGATE SHOOT. This was also the fm.il shoot for the year's aggregate. There were 2fi shoots, and competitors were allowed to count their*best .IS. The result is that the veteran of the club, Rifleman A. Baker, takes the first prize, a rifle presented by J. Guv, with a score of 1171, of which 112") was oft' the gun. Rifleman A. Harrison came a close second with 1108. of which 1125 was off the gun, and takes a pair of field glasses given by President Colmer. Keen interest was displayed. Detail scores: V 7 5' ©' © c -* i 5
