DOMESTIC SERVANTS.

To the Editor. 'Sir, —I have read the remarks of a membor of the W.C.T.U. on the subject of domestic servants, etc., and as one who has employed servants for years, I am sure the speaker has no practical knowledge of the matter, or else she has some pair, of scissors to grind. The idea that domestic servants are the hard-worked and ground-down individuals represented by the speaker, is absurd. Besides their legal holiday, they can and do get lots of time to themselves. Sonie, I know, get out every night. Again, when one employs a domestic servant or other workeT, she has a right to expect them to be able to do what is required of them.—l am, etc., EMPLOYER.
