CABINET APPROPRIATIONS
FOR RAILWAYS AND PUBLIC WORKS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At a meeting of Cabinet to-day the following grants were approved:—Gie-bornc-Uotorua railwa3', £(5000; CatlinsWaimaliaka, £5200; Rcefton-Tnangahua railwav, £51(10; Kawakawa-Graham-town railway, .€2450; Big Hill Tunnel, £.'130; North Auckland railway, £500; Stratford-Ongarue railway, £500; Wairang! railway station, £7M; KawakawaHokianga railway, £2000; Ruakituri bridge, £1000; Afotu Valley road, £500; Weraroa Experimental Farm, £SOO. Plans and specifications of the Kawa-kawa-Kaikohe railway were approved. The appropriations approved also included a grant of £IOOO for the preliminary worK in connection with "the Lake Coleridge water-power scheme.
