The present movement was pro-British, not an anti-foreign one. It was natural that they should want to trade with their fellow subjects of the Kingdom and their brothers throughout the Empire. The idea of the. All-British Shopping Week has been received so warmly by manufacturers and retailers that the | movement is now spreading throughout the country, and it is probable (says the Standard of Empire of February 17) that a universal All-British Week will be held in the provinces as well as in London from March 27 to April 1. Among the chief cities and towns which have decided to take part in the All-British Week simultaneously with London are Manchester, Leeds, Leicester, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, Hastings, and Brighton.
