SUMMARY AND FORECAST." By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather summary and forecast are as follow:—The barometer has fallen low in southern districts, but continues high in the north. Northerly winds, moderate to strong, prevailed northward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, but strong to a gale in parts elsewhere. The weather has been showery on the west coast and southernmost districts of the South Island. The present indications are for northerly and, .westerly winds, strong to heavy gale.' Unsettled and cloudy weather will probably be followed by heavy rain, especially on the west coast. The barometer iwill probably fall everywhere, but a rise may be expected in the south after about 36 hours, when a southerly is probable.
