MINING
MILLS REWARD GOLD MINING | COMPANY, LTD. The last reports from the manager at I Cabbage Bay are very encouraging. As regards Mills Reward he says: "The winze has been sunk another five feet, making 24ft altogether. The country is harder and looks better. Good prospects were obtained in the last few feet, but work has been suspended pending the water, which is now troublesome, being removed. In the Moturoa claim men are at work rising on the dropper. They are 10ft up in good country, and the reef looks well. Dish prospects ean be obtained at each breaking down, the last few feet being much better than in the drives. The reef is twelve inches wide. Men are also driving on the Moturoa; reef. This is where the best prospects were obtained previously. The drive is in 18ft from the crosscut, and shows a* strong body of' stone." Arrangements have been made for Messrs. Mills and Smith, two directors, to visit the mine this week. They will be pleased to have the company of other shareholders. *
