PETROLEUM NEWS
OPERATIONS AT MOTUROA. | There is no abatement of the gaa pressure at No. 3 bore, while the oil continues to flow. An effort will be made to-day to insert the tools and proceed with the drilling in order to thoroughly test the well. The drill at No. 5 bore has now passed through the very sticky papa, which was causing progress to be rather slow, and is now in much better country. On Saturday there were numbers of interested visitors at the bores, including Messrs. G. Hogben and T. H. Gill, of the Education Department, Wellington, who were accompanied by Messrs. Ballantyne and Whetter, inspectors to the Taranaki Education Board.
Buy preference shares at once. They are a perfectly safe and very promising investment, and one that may be recommended with confidence. Send to Walter Bewley, New Plymouth.—Advt.
