RUSSIA AND CHINA
A MUSCOVITE ULTIMATUM. ■ By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 26, 5.5 p.m. St. Petersburg, March 25. A Note presented to China by Russia declared that the Chinese replies to the Russian representations indicate an unfriendly distortion of treaty provisions, and added that persistence in this course would lead to a disturbance of relations between the two countries. Evidently a rupture is not far off, unless China backs down, as she no doubt will.
