At tjie Haymarket on Saturday but few pigs were entered. Weaners brought up to lis, .stores 17s 6d to 21s, small stores 12s Od to 15s. A quantity of second-class timber sold at satisfactory prices. LOAN AXD MERCANTILE CO.'S ' REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile' Agency Co., Ltd. (Stratford branch) report as follows: We held a supplementary sheep fair at our Stratford yards on Wednesday, 22nd inst., where there Was a fair attendance of buyers. About 5000 sheep were yarded, and practically all of them were sold. The following prices were realised:— Two-tooth ewes 12s (id to 15s, 4 and G-tooth ewes 12s Id to 12s lOd, full-mouth ewes 4s Od to (is 6d, fat lambs up to lis, lambs 0s 3d to 7s lOd, fat and forward wethers up to 12s Od, 2-tooth wethers 12s 3d to 13s 3d, Lincoln rams 1% guineas. MATTHEWS & IIKXXETT'S REPORT. Matthews and Bennett report a fair yarding of cattle at their inglewood yards on Wednesday last. Fat lambs —The range of prices was: 9s 4d to 14s 7d, two extra prime lots making 10s to 10s sd. Fat sheep—Prime wethers los Od to 19s fid, extra 255, others lis 9d to los, prime ewes 12s fid to los 7d, medium i)s to 12s, aged and light. 4 to Ss Cd, merino wethers 7s to IDs 3d. Fat cattle —Values declined about Is fid per 1001b. WANGANUI. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report on their Wanganui sale as follows:—We yarded 4015 sheep and a small yarding of cattle, of which we sold 2000 sheep.. The long spell without rain had a decided effect on values, the consequence being a decided drop in. prices.
