THE GISBORNE COMPANY. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Gisborne, Thursday. The directors of the Gisborne Oil Company have decided to send the manager to Sydney to expedite the shipment of plant that is being ordered for shallow boring. THE TARANAKI COMPANY. There has been no abatement of the pressure of gas in the Taranaki Company's No. 3 bore, and the flow of oil is still increasing. It is impossible to get the tools into the bore to carry the drilling deeper, and there is so prospect of proceeding with the drilling before Monday. _ No. 2 bore is flowing as usual, and No. 5 is making progress, which is necessarily slow owing to fhe fact that the country is sticky papa. There is a strong demand for preference .shares, and all yesterday there were large numbers of interested visitors to the company's bores, many of whom came from a distance. A roof is being erected over the top of the No. 3 derrick in order to control the oil, which is at present being thrown broadcast. Buy preference sTiarcs at once.
