NEW PLYMOUTH WOOL. SHEEPSKIN, ( HIDE AND TALLOW SALES. L. A. NOLAN AND CIVS REPORT. On the sth inst. we held our monthly sale of the above. Hides sold at about last month'.; rates, taken right through, with the exception of heavy cow showing substance, which showed a sharp advance. Heavy ox showing substance were keenly competed for. Sheepskins, especially salted lines, sold at an advance on last month by quite a half-penny per lb for equal qualities compared with last month. Wool advanced quite '/ 2 d per lb for good clean lots, particularly in lambs'. Damaged, eotted and seedy sold at late rates. Tallow showed a decline of about 15s per ton. A very fine pair of purebred brown Leghorn pullets (laying) brought 8s Gd each, thereby proving that good quality poultry is the only kind to grow.
